— BACKGROUND —

Typelight is an interactive light installation produced by Trafik in 2012 to mark the 10th anniversary of Lyon’s Nuits Sonores electronic music festival, and was later presented in Asia in August 2013 at the Singapore Night Festival.

— ART INSTALLATION —

Typelight is a giant alphanumeric display unit, 10 metres high and 7 metres long, consisting of 15 letters arranged over three levels. The display unit features messages about the festival’s tenth anniversary in the form of scrolling text. The module can display content of varying sizes visible at a range of distances. In addition to its display feature, the installation includes an animated register displaying graphic and plastic animations.
