IRIS METAMORPHOSES SAINT-JEAN CATHEDRAL FOR THE 2021 FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
For the long-awaited Festival of Lights in Lyon, TETRO takes over the iconic Saint-Jean Cathedral with the Av Extended collective to offer a magical view of the city! The seven light tableaux that turned the cathedral's rosace into the iris of our eye amazed thousands of spectators over the three evenings.
- CREATIVE WORK PRESENTED -
For the Lyon Festival of Lights 2021, TETRO presents a new creation by Jérémie Bellot and Josselin Fouché from the AV Extended collective. This video-mapping show questions the complexity and multiplicity of views through light by making the Cathedral's rosace the iris of our eye. The visual show IRIS is accompanied by a composition of musicians Ena Eno & Stéphane Clor. Through various visual tableaux, the images adorned the beautiful building with a new ephemeral skin made of architectural volumes, chromatic explosions, a monumental optical diaphragm or kaleidoscopic deconstructions. Thousands of spectators flocked to discover this magical view of the city. The show was so popular that it won the Trophée des Lumières 2021 awarded by the City of Lyon and France Television. TETRO is very proud to have had the opportunity to work on one of Lyon's most beautiful heritage buildings to offer the public a spectacular and memorable moment.
