WESTFIELD LA PART-DIEU | GIANT LED SCREENS

TETRO IN SITU led the study and design phase for the installation of 3 giant LED screens in the heart of Lyon's emblematic Westfield La Part-Dieu shopping centre.

From the design concept of architectural screens imagined at the end of 2018 to the installation in 2021, more than 2 years of work will have been necessary to deploy the giant LED screens in La Part-Dieu. TETRO IN SITU orchestrated for Unibail Rodamco Westfield (URW) the development of the specifications, the consultation and the delivery of an extraordinary audiovisual project.

A SCREEN FORMAT NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN LYON
The LED screen project is part of a major expansion and transformation of the shopping centre. The main focus of the screen project was the renovation of the central square and its fountain. URW wanted to make a strong statement about this area, which is well known to the people of Lyon. The choice was made for a vertical LED screen in 16/9 format with a total surface area of 60m2. A format never before seen in Lyon. The screen thus became the totem of this agora, a very popular crossroads for visitors to the shopping centre.

TETRO EXPERTISE INTEGRATED INTO BUILDING ENGINEERING
Working hand in hand with the architect Sud Architecte and the project manager Artelia, TETRO IN SITU drew up a complex and demanding set of technical specifications, including : • A remote control unit for centralised control of the three screens • High quality LEDs from recognised suppliers with a 4mm pitch • A service contract with some of the most demanding execution terms on the market

The drafting of the specifications was finalised in March 2020, and the consultation for the audiovisual work was launched at the same time. The company Videlio was chosen to carry out the work. TETRO IN SITU will monitor the work until the end of the project and will take delivery at the end of 2021.
