MINNK | WILFRIED DELLA ROSSA

— CONTEXT —

A desire to showcase digital and electronic cultures through hybrid and innovative artistic projects are what led Mirage Festival, Stereolux and TETRO+A to create the MISTERO project.

The artistic installation created by Wilfried DELLA ROSSA has won the MISTERO competition and will be presented in Lyon at the MIRAGE Festival and in Nantes at the Scopitone festival.

— INSTALLATION —

MINNK – created by artist Wilfried Della Rossa – is an immersive light, audio-visual installation. The artist works with musical composer Loran Delforge a.k.a. Before Tigers, who also goes by the pseudonym Squeaky Lobster, and whose creative areas range from acousmatic music to improvised instrumental music.

The MINNK installation alludes to the Minkowski spacetime model. A light, round setting encourages spectators to immerse themselves in a set of suspended images for an intense experience and overwhelming sensations. The whole experience is based on the space/time notion and the concept of relativity. The artist beckons us to accompany him on a journey that explores the link between the infinitely large and the infinitely small, between that which is far away and that which is right before us, between the grandiose and the intimate. A voyage through space and time in several steps. A floating screen delights spectators as they discover a whole new dimension.
